Vienna’s oldest perfumery — imperial scents since 1809.
In 1809, in the middle of the Napoleonic Wars, Anton Filz opened a perfumery in Vienna; his son Johann Baptist gave it the initials it still bears today. J.B. Filz became a purveyor to the Imperial and Royal Court. What remains are a few very Viennese fragrances: a “favorite water,” a violet, a lavender.
