In 1907, Jacques Rouché and Georges Darzens let the finds unearthed from the ashes of Pompeii lead them to a fragrance of ancient opulence. Orange and pink pepper open sunlit; a heart of velvety peach, ylang-ylang, iris and a thread of saffron follows. Oakmoss, suede and patchouli give the whole a refined, lasting chypre foundation.
